Cohen put his engineering skills to use and created his own set of bongos, and unknowingly started the Latin Percussion story. Today, LP has over 500 endorsers, a list including Tito Puente, "Patato" Valdez, Carlos Santana, Giovanni Hidalgo, and Armando Peraza.
